“Deep red-ruby.  Blackberry, currant liqueur, mocha, licorice and menthol on the nose.  Shows a medicinal black cherry and menthol quality on the palate but also the smoothest texture and best verve of these 2010 reds.  The fine-grained, increasingly drying tannins call for some aging.  My enthusiasm was muted by an emerging green quality on the back.  Gently priced.”
Winemaker Notes
The Cabernet Sauvignons of Eastern Washington deliver the best of both worlds. They possess the ripe, berry-like flavors found in most New World Cabernets and the wonderful structure typical of Old World Cabs. Our 2010 Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon is a deeply concentrated and complex wine with blackberry, brambleberry, cherry, slate and minerals. It’s full, lush and dense with ample, well-integrated tannins. While it shows well in its youth, the wine should age beautifully over the next decade. ~ Holly Turner

Production Notes
The 2010 growing season was the coolest since 1999. We warmed up to 90F+ average temperatures in August which helped the ripening process. We started picking 10 to 14 days later than normal.
