Vineyard Notes
Our 2014 Estate Pinot Noir comes from a vineyard that is located 8 miles west of the winery in the Russian River Valley. This is a prime spot for growing Pinot Noir not only because of its close proximity to the cooling climate of the Pacific Ocean, but also the unique soils found there. The soils are a mixture of Altamont (a small, reddish deposit) and Goldridge (a golden, sandy loam soil) that are exceptional soils for Pinot. The vineyard is surrounded by coastal pines and you can smell that freshness in the wine. Go ahead, take it in and you’ll see what I mean!
