Food Pairing Notes
This Algunas Dias Zinfandel has exceptionally forward notes of black berries, preserved raspberries, and touches of fresh cracked pepper and cedar. Try pairing with Barbecued Beef Ribs with a Whole Grain Mustard Rub and Grilled Elote (Mexican Corn). The smoke and spice flavors of the ribs and the sweetness of the corn enhance the earthy, peppery and deep fruit flavors of the Zinfandel. – Robert Smith, M.S.

Production Notes
2015 was another dry year in Paso Robles. An extremely mild winter led to an early bud break. There were very few frost days as our warm and mild weather defined the rest of the growing season. The fruit was harvested during September through October which was a couple weeks ahead of schedule; however, quality was high across the board.
Vineyard Notes
The fruit for our 2015 Algunas Dias Zinfandel comes from a special vineyard tucked into a tiny canyon in northeast Paso Robles. For a region that has been growing grapes since 1797, Paso Robles has all of a sudden become one of the “hottest” AVAs in California. Located midway between Santa Barbara and Monterey, this rolling countryside is synonymous with big, rich, high-character wines. The west portion of Paso Robles enjoys a moderately cool climate thanks to the influence of the nearby Pacific Ocean. This is great ground for Chardonnay. The inland east side is warm and sunny and perfect for Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
