Fragrant lychee fruit and white peach aromas lead into the captivating flavors. Apricot and peach coupled with a juicy  midpalate followed by stone fruit on the finish. Bright, balanced and delightful!

Winemaker Notes
Our goal with this 2016 Riesling was to retain nice clean fruity flavors and bright acidity. All of the fruit was sourced from the Bacchus Vineyard located near Pasco, WA on southwest-facing hillsides above the Columbia River. After harvest, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed and the juice was allowed to settle at 50F before racking off the solids. We inoculated with a Riesling-specific yeast and fermented the juice at a relatively cool temperature. Fermentation was stopped to soften the wine’s crisp acidity. Fragrant lychee fruit and white peach aromas lead into this wine’s captivating flavors. Apricot and peach coupled with a juicy mid palate are followed by stone fruit on the finish. This wine is bright, balanced and delightful!

Production Notes
2016 started out with above average temperatures reaching record heat in April. This jumpstarted our growing season and led us to an earlier bloom than in 2015. Cooler June and July months slowed things down, allowing us to catch up in the vineyard. Temperatures heated back up in August leading us to pick our Riesling grapes on August 29th.
