Oak Hill vineyard is located in the Chalk Hill sub-appellation in the northeast corner of the Russian River Valley AVA. It has a warmer climate and less fog than typically characterizes the region, with notably hot, dry summers and cool, moist winters. The fruit for this wine is hand-picked and whole-cluster pressed prior to racking and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation in order to retain its bright flavors and crisp acidity.
