Juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil come together in this golden, melty panini. Finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and pressed to perfection, it’s a warm-weather twist on a classic Italian favorite.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices ciabatta or country bread
  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for grilling)

Directions

  • Layer tomato, mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves on two slices of bread.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and top with remaining bread slices.
  • Brush outside of sandwiches with olive oil or butter.
  • Grill in a panini press or skillet over medium heat until golden and cheese is melted (about 4 minutes per side if using skillet).
  • Slice and serve warm.
