Sommelier Billie Rolla will lead a group of wine enthusiasts in “Tenacious Tannins” that includes a lab activity, small group conversation, and of course, wine! Velvety, structured, silky, fine-grained, aggressive…There are so many terms used to describe the mouthfeel of red wines, it may leave us well in a tizzy. In this wine lab, we will demystify the terms we used to describe tannins, exploring what tannins are and how they lead to some of the greatest-aged wines on earth. Learn how to identify and describe tannins in wine and explore how to pair highly tannic wines with food. This Wine Lab is a great choice to prepare for The Art & Science of Food and Wine Pairing coming in the fall.
